Requirements Gathering and Analysis

My main target audience is young adults looking to explore with recipes and immerse themselves in glorious food. The stakeholders include the music performers, the media, event location, chefs, bakers, food providers, those providing accommodation and travel, the government/local council maybe providing for the event, sponsors, charities, those attending, merchandise suppliers, any market suppliers attending, those who live near the festival, and lastly anything hired such as staff and the toilet company. I had a few assumptions relating to the festival, for example I thought it would be popular if it was an outdoors event to take place in summer with the sun shining, as the sun always boosts the mood and good vibes and through a questionnaire my assumption was confirmed. I also assumed most people would prefer savoury food and that would be the main focus of the event and my research backed this up.

Furthermore, a main focus of mine is accessibility especially within the app and website. They will be distinct and easy viewing, with substantial sizing that isn’t overwhelming the screen but also not too small it’s difficult to read. The colour palette will also be clear and understandable for people with colour blindness or dyslexia. In addition to this, on both platforms I will add a whole accessibility page which will contain all the support that will be in place at the festival. On the platforms I will also consider and fix any mobility issues such as reducing the need to pinch and swipe.

Essentially, I want to ensure my festival is extremely inclusive so that everyone is happy to attend, including all social classes. This ties in with accessibility and how I plan to sell the tickets at a very reasonable price for what it’s worth. This inclusivity will be successful for my stakeholders.
