This is my low-fidelity version of the mobile device, including wireframes. I prototyped this, but tried to make the app as straightforward and functional to use, especially for the adults who aren’t as experienced with technology. don’t have a problem navigating their way around. This makes for a smooth and enjoyable user experience. Some main examples of how I’ve achieved this is their is a bold element which says ‘Get Started’ which is clear to be clicked, I’ve placed an arrow to the menu bar, and their is clear back buttons that simply say ‘back’ with a backwards arrow. The minimal clutter with these clear labels/icons helps create a clean layout and design. The easy navigation is evident through the logical structure and flow. The personalisation of relevant content adapting to user preferences also helps. Lastly, the use of consistency helps the user. Buttons, icons, and actions behave the same across the app. A predictable user experience builds confidence. Ultimately, these elements are important as ‘An intuitive, well-designed mobile app can drive engagement, improve user satisfaction, and set your brand apart from the competition.’ (b4b, 2024). Moreover, I believe I’ve included a smooth prototype, really using the method of buttons to quickly and clearly skip to the next page or for the menu bar to move in. I’ve also stuck to the colour palette and scheme which strengthens branding and creates visual appeal due to its attractive and professional tone. It grabs attention and invites users to engage. I’ve also included a substantial amount of negative space with bold and engaging fonts. Overall, I believe the functionality of the UI and UX of the design is evident due to the clear layouts of the application.
